Bitterness

Robusta beans are naturally more bitter than Arabica due to the higher levels of these compounds. The classic house blend since 2003 with a new twist. The main ingredient for the espresso blend now comes from the Los Placeres farm in Nicaragua, run by the well-known Mierisch family. The washed Red Catuai gives this espresso a unique sweetness and balances the cup with subtle acidity. Composed of 60% Nicaragua, 20% Brazilian Arabica and 20% Indian Robusta, the blend is sourced from farms that take first place in international Cup of Excellence competitions - for a balanced and delicious cup of coffee.
