Spicy & strong
You love the rustic note and a brown bread sweetness. It shows a balanced acidity with a a strong body and intense flavors.
Acidity
Like a lively sparkle that adds a hint of sweetness and fruity flavor. It is what makes your taste buds tingle, reminiscent of biting into a crisp apple or sipping a tarty cherry juice. This lively trait brings coffee to life in a unique way.
Bitterness
Like a pinch of seasoning, bitterness enhances coffee’s complexity. It is a balancing act with too little, the coffee may taste overly sweet or tangy. Robusta beans are naturally more bitter than Arabica due to the higher levels of these compounds. Light-medium roasts offer a pleasant bitterness, while darker roasts yield a stronger, lingering bitter sensation. Keep in mind, that taste varies – what is bitter to you might be enjoyable to others.
Body
Refers to how a coffee feels in your mouth – it is like the weight and texture that you sense as you sip. Imagine it as the difference between whole milk feeling rich and creamy compared to skim milk feeling lighter. Body gives coffee a sense of substance and depth, making each sip a satisfying experience.
Sweetness
Coffee’s link to fruitiness isn’t always obvious, but the beans are loaded with carbs and amino acids inherited from the coffee cherry. When roasted, these carbs become the building blocks of sweetness, like the simple sugars found in fruits. Through the Maillard reaction (roasting), they transform into the cozy sweetness we enjoy, reminding us of the cherry’s natural flavours.

Everything about the product

This is what Public Coffee Roasters says about the producers and the cultivation of Dark Temptation Espresso:

This espresso blend from Café Organica Marcala (COMSA) is made from washed Catuai varieties grown on the slopes of La Paz in western Honduras at an altitude of around 1600 meters above sea level. COMSA is a collective of small farmers, each cultivating an average of 3 hectares of land. Their holistic approach focuses on environmental, economic and social sustainability, benefiting around 2000 farmers. The espresso gets its incredible sweetness from Brazilian coffee beans. These beans are dried as whole cherries under the Brazilian sun, resulting in a deep sweetness and a robust body that is fully revealed by the gentle roasting. The blend also contains racy and spicy aromas from Indian beans, which contribute to its dense and structured character. This versatile mixture is suitable for preparation in a portafilter, on the stove or in a fully automatic coffee machine.

This is what Public Coffee Roasters says about the preparation and taste of Dark Temptation Espresso:

Enjoy this dark and seductive espresso, where the creamy sweetness of intense nougat blends harmoniously with irresistible aromas of dark chocolate. This espresso offers a robust and full-bodied experience characterized by low acidity, delivering satisfaction with every sip.
