Spicy & strong
You love the rustic note and a brown bread sweetness. It shows a balanced acidity with a a strong body and intense flavors.
Acidity
Like a lively sparkle that adds a hint of sweetness and fruity flavor. It is what makes your taste buds tingle, reminiscent of biting into a crisp apple or sipping a tarty cherry juice. This lively trait brings coffee to life in a unique way.
Bitterness
Like a pinch of seasoning, bitterness enhances coffee’s complexity. It is a balancing act with too little, the coffee may taste overly sweet or tangy. Robusta beans are naturally more bitter than Arabica due to the higher levels of these compounds. Light-medium roasts offer a pleasant bitterness, while darker roasts yield a stronger, lingering bitter sensation. Keep in mind, that taste varies – what is bitter to you might be enjoyable to others.
Body
Refers to how a coffee feels in your mouth – it is like the weight and texture that you sense as you sip. Imagine it as the difference between whole milk feeling rich and creamy compared to skim milk feeling lighter. Body gives coffee a sense of substance and depth, making each sip a satisfying experience.
Sweetness
Coffee’s link to fruitiness isn’t always obvious, but the beans are loaded with carbs and amino acids inherited from the coffee cherry. When roasted, these carbs become the building blocks of sweetness, like the simple sugars found in fruits. Through the Maillard reaction (roasting), they transform into the cozy sweetness we enjoy, reminding us of the cherry’s natural flavours.

Everything about the product

This is what Hanseatic Coffee Roasters says about the producers and the cultivation of the Peru Highland Filter:

Peru Highland grows at Tropical Mountain Farm in the Chanchamayo Valley in the Peruvian Andes. The farm is at an altitude of 1800m, where the mild climate gives the coffee beans a special aroma. Tropical Mountain Farm is a family business founded in 2010 and run by Peruvian and Swiss coffee farmers. Each year, approximately 5 hectares of rainforest are converted for coffee cultivation by clearing the undergrowth and replacing it with coffee plants while preserving the large rainforest trees.

This is what Hanseatic Coffee Roasters says about the preparation and taste of the Peru Highland Filter:

The Hanseatic Coffee Peru Highland is characterized by its light acidity and a subtle smoky note, which give it its unmistakable character.

Hanseatic Coffee Roasters also finds this worth mentioning:

By buying the high-quality raw coffee at a fair price, we not only support the construction of another classroom on site, but above all the living conditions of the coffee pickers and their families. The family business, in which the founding family lives closely with the pickers, attaches great importance to the fact that their employees are doing well and that they can make a living in the long term.
